Design
Words can be powerful when you take the time to read them. The job of design is to arrange the words in such a way that they catch a reader’s attention so that they take the time to read them. Ever since I started doing design for assignments during my first semester on staff, I have loved every single part of it.
The process of design takes time. I have learned that through the hours spent learning the tools of adobe indesign and then the hours I spent applying my new skills to every layout.

For the 2019-20 Print issues the index layout needed to be completely redone. The new index design was first published in the 2019 Sept/Oct Print issue. For each following issue, the color theme is altered and any relevant ads or pictures are placed on the page. However, the same basic structure is followed to help provide a cohesive blend to the issues.
